Lisa Jevbratt is an artist and C5 research theorist. She came to the United States and the CADRE Institute in 1994 after studying in art and philosophy in her native Sweden. As a teacher at San Jose State University, Jevbratt lectures on computer systems and networks as art, art-theory, and innovative uses of programming languages. In her artistic work, she explores organizational structures, data mining, and collaborative information filtering. Jevbratt's work has been exhibited internationally and featured in various media. Her ongoing work, A Stillman Project,
is being shown as a parasitic art system commissioned and hosted by Walker Art Center's Web site (www.walkerart.org).
